Previous Applications Denied

A previous appeal on this site for just 9 homes was refused due to significant harm to the character of the area. A proposal for 150 homes would only intensify those impacts.

A well known housing developer is proposing to build up to 150 new homes on the fields behind Birmingham Road & Galley View in Ansley Village.

We feel these plans should be objected to and want your help to do so!

There are many reasons why this proposal is not suitable for Ansley Village. There is also existing precedent for this land with a previous appeal for just 9 houses being dismissed in March 2025. A core reason for this was the harm it would have on the rural character of the village, it's landscape and open fields.

A significantly larger proposal for up to 150 homes massively increases all of these harmful points and introduces even further strain on existing infrastructure that the village wouldn't be able to sustain.

We have formed a dedicated group of local residents planning to object to these new plans and do our best to protect Ansley and village life that we all know and love.

Pre-Planning Consultation period is now closed - This was open until 19th June

Formal Outline Planning Application Submission

We have now entered the waiting stage.

Our group of residents will be monitoring planning portals and keeping an eye out for the formal submission of an outline planning application.

Once this has been submitted there is a short 21 day window for everybody to submit full, detailed and technical objections as part of the usual planning process.

As soon as we are made aware we will be reaching out to the wider village, conducting meetings and building our case.
